How to Set Yourself Up for Success (and Less Stress) This Holiday Season

Although the holidays are meant for joy and excitement, as a business owner, this season can also bring a lot of stress and overwhelm. Just thinking about everything you need to get done before you take time off can raise your heartbeat.

What if this year, you set yourself up for success (and less stress) without sacrificing your business growth OR your mental health this holiday season?

It seems like as soon as November hits, your to-do list multiplies, no matter how much planning you’ve done to prepare for it. Then December comes and it’s crunch time. You start to feel the pressure to get projects completed, year-end planning done, promotions and sales prepped, and your business ready to kick ass in the new year. Not to mention, you don’t want to work 24/7 during the holidays (or anytime, really!).

This time of year, it can be easy for things to start piling up, but it does not have to be that way.

Two of the main killers of productivity and flow, especially this time of year, are procrastination and the fabrication of extra work that you don’t actually NEED to be doing this holiday season.

2 Ways to Increase Productivity and Alignment During the Holidays

If you have projects and planning tasks that you absolutely DREAD that you’ve been putting off, don’t force yourself to trudge through them. Outsource the things that you dread, don’t have time for, or that aren’t in your zone of genius. Future you will most definitely thank you for it!

If you have tasks on your to-do list that you “think” you need to do just because someone else is doing that in their business, ask yourself, “Does this align with my business, my vision, my values, and my priorities right now?”

If the answer is anything but a hell yes, get that shit OFF of your to-do list. You don’t HAVE to do anything in your business. Make sure everything you’re doing, every project, promotion, and planning task feels in alignment with you and your priorities.

By outsourcing and getting clear on your priorities, you’ll be able to set yourself and your business up for success and ease this holiday season

With the right planning in place, you can feel confident shutting off your computer, pausing your notifications, and grabbing your favourite bottle of wine while being truly present with the people that you love.
