If you want to land successful clients, you not only have to create a business based on respect and integrity, but you have to set yourself up to work with clients that align with you, your values, and your mission and work to provide those clients with high-quality services and phenomenal value.
Here at AK/VA, our clients respect our boundaries, value our work, appreciate our expertise, speak to us kindly, and the list goes on. Anything less is not accepted.
We didn’t get lucky and have dream clients fall in our lap by happenstance. We also didn’t land these successful clients with “competitive” rates.
We landed them (and kept them on retainer) by focusing on respect, integrity, and providing VALUE.
When you’re looking to land successful clients that are in alignment with you and your business, you need to focus on the positives (AKA, green flags) instead of just the red flags.
Pay attention to the clients who:
Don't question your prices.
Respect your knowledge and your time.
Are over the moon excited to work with you.
Have boundaries of their own.
If you want to work with successful clients, you have to first put those qualities into your own business, because then, your business will attract those types of clients that you want to work with.

When you’re thinking about how you want to structure and run your own business in order to attract successful clients, there are a few key habits you want to implement and look for. These are the 5 habits that we strive to implement in our business and that all of our most successful clients have (that we LOVE!).
They focus on the tasks that light them up and delegate the tasks that don’t.
They show up as themselves for their business.
They have a system and process in place for everything.
They set boundaries to separate their personal life and their business.
They take aligned actions that support their ultimate dreams.
Remember, you don’t have to take on every single potential client you get on a consultation call with. If those green flags and 5 positive habits aren’t there, it’s okay to say NO. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself down the road for being choosy when it comes to the clients you allow into your world!
