Nourish So You Can Flourish
Sometimes you have to take a step back to be able to take a successful step forward. I know you are in the thick of it right now and taking a step back seems like it will create even more work for you and you will fall more behind than you already are.
And real talk - like 2 years ago, who are we kidding, even ONE year ago, I would have rolled my eyes at this idea that you need space to reset, to create, to design, and to nourish so that you can flourish. Because, hello, I’ve got a business to run, and if I am not there, who’s going to run it?
My name is Ash and I’m a full-a*ser.
There, I said it. I jump into every situation with every ounce of passion I possess. If you give it all you got, like I do, stepping back and assessing what you need seems like a half-as*ser, kind of way to handle your business.
But you know what? Even go-getters like us can’t be everything for everyone, ALL OF THE TIME.
In order to show up as your best self for your clients, for your family, for your friends, and for your community, you’ve got to take a little time to assess what you are doing when it starts feeling really hard.
So yeah, you can just effin go for it when you know where you are going. You can go balls to the wall all day long every day when every action you are taking is getting you somewhere. You can demand the best from yourself when your bucket is full and you remember why you are doing this in the first place.
You can DO it and go full steam ahead, with your full as$ and your entire heart, but you’ve got to make sure your entire heart is in it, and if it isn’t, you need to step it back a little. Take a little time off. Create clean systems and delegate some of the work, so you CAN take a little time to reflect.
And watch what happens...
The world won’t end.
Maybe you will even have some clarity that will put your entire heart back into the business and everything you’ve ever wanted will come barreling at you in the most aligned way possible.
Remember this.
There is no shame in pausing and resting.
There is no shame in changing your business plan.
There is no shame in pivoting your business to a place where you feel both it and you can thrive.
