Stop Working Yourself into a State of Burnout
“Live more hours than you work.” - Smart person
I think it’s safe to say that a lot of us have fallen into this concept that our worth is determined by our productivity. Or something like…
The harder you work, the more money you will make.
But being valuable or becoming a successful entrepreneur doesn’t mean you have to work 12+ hour days for months on end.
You can make work, work around your life. It doesn’t have to be the other way around.
You don’t have to miss friends’ birthdays or answer client emails at midnight.
You have permission to find a balance between your work and personal time.
In fact, this is one way to kiss burn out goodbye.
Because burnout is what WILL happen if you are sacrificing your health, life, and family for your work.
If you do this long enough, you CANNOT show up as your best self anywhere.
Not for your clients, your family and friends, or most importantly, yourself!
As an entrepreneur, I understand the need to please.
I understand the need to believe that you have to do it all if people are going to share how amazing you are, or rave about your services, or tell others about how you have gone above and beyond time after time.
I used to work myself to death thinking that the only way people would think I was successful or my business would reach the level of success I desired was if I did it all.
That was dead wrong.
The many times I was left feeling completely broken and empty, I realized that I had to shift this need to please and do it all.
And to do that, I had to change my mindset to embrace balance, to put my phone away and be present with friends and family.
To fill MY happy cup first.
That was the moment I finally ditched my burnout and achieved what I consider true success.
The state where my business provides me with the financial freedom I desire while giving me the time to do the things that light my soul on fire.
Want to know how you can achieve the state of success you desire?
Stop working yourself into a state of burnout.
Here are some of my favourite ways to ditch burnout and embrace balance:
Schedule “me” time.
Pursue your passion. Don’t do work that doesn’t light you up!
Move your body!
Find a hobby that does not relate to your business or job.
Build a support system!
Give yourself permission to turn off work.
When you let go of the idea that you have to do it all, all of the time, you will not only achieve the success you desire but find yourself finally living in harmony with your goals and dreams.
