Saying No Might Bring Your Biggest Yes

How many times have you felt the pressure to say yes to everything?

That new opportunity that seems too good to be true, yet something in your heart is telling you it’s not right?

That client who seems to always push boundaries and ask for urgent help outside of your working hours?

That last minute trip your girlfriends invited you to, yet all you want to do is spend the weekend curled up on the couch with your family and pup?

So often, entrepreneurs feel like they have to say yes to everything in order to not let others down and to avoid being seen as “lazy” or a “failure.”

But let me tell you something that totally goes against this norm.

Saying no might bring your biggest yes.

It seems counterintuitive, I know, but it is so true.

You can create more opportunity for yourself by saying no.

And when you do choose to say no to something that doesn’t light you up, excite you, or 100% align with your values and vision for your life, something magical happens.

You open yourself up to see other opportunities more clearly.

When presented with an opportunity, ask yourself, "does this support the life I'm trying to create?"

If the answer is hell yes, take it and give it your all!

If the answer is no, let that opportunity pass on by, or offer it to someone else you know will appreciate it. Just because it’s not the right fit for you doesn’t mean it isn’t the right fit for someone else.

Someone else’s hell yes may look different than yours, and that’s ok!

Saying no actually creates more opportunity because you no longer have blinders on that distract you from the right opportunities.

Instead, you hone in on things that matter most to you and your business.

Take it from me… if I took every opportunity that came my way, I would be spread way too thin and I wouldn't be able to focus on the projects that truly matter to me.

I wouldn’t be able to serve my team the way I want to. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy midday walks with my dog, Jakey or a slow start to the morning when it’s raining outside.

For me, those things aren’t worth sacrificing.

You have to get clear on what kinds of opportunities will lead you to the dream life you’re trying to create and decide what things aren’t worth sacrificing for you.

And when you do, you’ll be amazed at all the doors it opens for you.

Because when you say no, on the other side of the door might be your biggest hell yes!
